Cristina Peláez Avezuela, Head of People at Lener, took part in the Corp & People Summit, held in Córdoba on 21 and 22 October. The event brings together professionals in people management to analyse the major challenges facing the sector.
Over the course of two days, attendees discussed some of the issues currently of greatest concern to HR departments. They discussed the talent shortage, the role of AI in developing junior staff, absenteeism, pay transparency and psychological safety within teams.
Cristina Peláez took part in a ‘jam session’ to discuss how artificial intelligence affects talent within organisations. The panel of speakers agreed that AI does not displace talent; rather, it is the decisions we make using it that do so. They also warned that the biggest mistake at this stage would be to think that the key is to automate work, when the real opportunity lies in empowering people.
