
Carlos Martos Merlos
Carlos joined Lener in 2025 as managing partner of the Madrid office, and also as partner of the Litigation and Arbitration department, after more than 25 years of professional experience specialising in Litigation, Civil, Commercial and Arbitration Law.
Prior to joining, he worked at Toda & Nel-lo, where he was a partner and promoter of its Madrid office.
He specializes in all types of disputes, both in ordinary jurisdiction and arbitration, related to business law, corporate conflicts, civil works and construction, mediation, agency and distribution, competition law...
Within the energy sector, he advises on renewable energy generation and storage projects, in their various stages of development until they come into operation, imparting his knowledge and experience as a lecturer on the Renewable Energy Law programme at the University of Navarra.
In real estate and construction law, he has extensive experience in promotion and construction, building and civil works, project and asset management, joint ventures, construction contracts, EPC, EPCM...
In his teaching role, he is a professor of International Litigation in the Master's Degree in International Advocacy, as well as in the Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession, both at the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE). Member of the Tribunal del T.F.C. in the area of Civil Law at the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE) together with the Universidad Carlos III.
He is also a contributor to book and article publications.
