New scandal at Amazon: surveillance cameras penalizing their drivers

Our colleague Marta Del Campo Jiménez, Lener's labor lawyer, explains to “Público” that: "Article 89 of the LOPDGDD states that companies can use the cameras as long as they respect the limits of the legal framework, and, in addition, they have informed employees and their representatives in a clear, concise and extensive way of the existence of cameras and their purpose of labor control”.
Marta recommends entrepreneurs to follow the Barbulescu Test, which specifies that to install cameras, the principles of suitability, necessity and proportionality must be followed.
