On April 28, 2021, Decree-Law 7/2021, of April 27, on the reduction of the tax on Property Transfer and Certified Legal Documents has come into force, for the promotion and reactivation of the economy of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia given the crisis situation generated by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID19).
In accordance with the aforementioned normative text, and with exclusive validity until December 31, 2021, the tax lien on Property Transfer and Certified Legal Documents is reduced in order to promote the economic boost and reactivation of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia.
On the Property Transfer Tax modality, the general tax rate applicable to the transfer of real estate and the constitution and assignment of real rights over them is reduced, except those of guarantee, going from the rates of 8%, 9% and 10% a single general rate of 7%.
Similarly, the general tax rate is reduced, the Certified Legal Documents modality, for notarial deeds, going from the tax rate of 1.5% to the tax rate of 1.2%.
As it is a temporary measure, for those who plan to make an investment in the medium term in Andalusia, it is interesting to carry it out before December 31, 2021, in order to benefit from the aforementioned rate reduction.
